ALBUM COVERS, PICTURE SLEEVES, RECORD LABELS, MAGAZINES AND COMICS M = original gloss, no markings, no bends, no tape NM = some slight imperfection that detracts from MINT VG+ = shows some wear VG = shows average wear, bends, creases, repaired rips G = very worn (but worth having in any case) RECORDS M = no extraneous sounds, no markings NM = some slight imperfection that detracts from MINT VG+ = some noise but does not detract from listening pleasure VG = noise level about equal with recording sound G = noise level louder than recording sound NOTES 2P/3P = second or third pressing by original label BOOT = bootleg or reproduction (also REPRO) C/O = cut out hole in record through label CRACK = split in vinyl, may affect play IMP = import LBLRIP = tear in label REPRO = reproduction of original label design REPRINT= legal reproduction by original label (also Reissue) RI = legal reproduction by original label (also Reprint) RING = circle worn onto sleeve. Degree of wear follows grading. SCR = scratch in vinyl which does affect play SCUFF = abrasion of record surface, does not affect play SOC = number sticker or name or address sticker on cover or sleeve SOL = number sticker or name or address sticker on label TOS = tape on side (record sleeve or cover) or spine (magazine) WARP = ripple in vinyl - does not affect play WOBC = writing on back cover WOC = writing, letters, stamp markings on cover or picture sleeve WOL = writing, letters, stamp markings on label XOL = "X" marked on the label
